Over 120 years ago, the thermodynamic cycles for Otto (gasoline) and Diesel cycles for internal combustion engines were developed and the design hasn’t changed much since the days of Henry Ford. HeartCombustionEngine has designed a totally new type of internal combustion engine technology. The design is new. The thermodynamic cycle is new; the approach is rooted in physics and optimization. The engine is up to 2x more efficient than comparable powered gasoline engines in production today.

Design Method
The coordinates of the points P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8, determined according to an appropriate reference system, are the variables of a mathematical function that allows the design of the cycle, determining the duration of the each of the four strokes. The implemented function describes a characteristic curve whose stationary points will correspond to the attainment of the four dead centers.
